Olena fashions traditional Ukainian motanka dolls from scraps of fabric. They are made without needles or scissors, since it is not allowed for humans to cut the thread of our own destiny. In the same way, they are faceless, so as not to tie the soul to the doll. In this way, the doll becomes a universal talisman, not the representation of a specific person.
