Winter Landscape
Nikolai Dronnikov
Resident in France since 1972, Dronnikov has been described as "the most Russian of French and the most French of Russian artists". Strongly influenced by the colourscape of his native Tula region, he is also strongly influenced by European artists including Van Gogh and Matisse. This abstract sketch of winter fields is particularly evocative, and a typical example of the energy of his work.
